Meet Tee
I love dogs. I think they are the greatest creatures on earth. Dogs are intelligent. Dogs are loyal. Dogs are funny. Dogs are cuddly. Dogs are protective. The list goes on... I just don't think there's much not to love about them, and I have loved them since I was a child. Even when I couldn't have a dog as a child (sister's asthma), I knew that I wanted to do something to save dogs when I was older.
Initially, I wanted to be a veterinarian, so I changed my track to Pre-Veterinarian in college. That didn't go so well. I ended up switching back to business as I set out to do initially. I blame organic chemistry and those tricky bonds for that. So, instead of pursuing veterinary science, I decided to lend my heart and hands in other ways. I adopted my dog from a shelter in Mississippi, volunteered at local animal shelters, rescued stray dogs off the street, and became a foster. Even though it may not seem as impactful as being a veterinarian, it has been so rewarding, fulfilling, and world-changing. It's especially world-changing for the dogs that I have fostered and the dogs that got to take their places at the shelter.
This journey has meant the world to me, and that's why I started Tee and Pups. I love dogs, and I love sharing my love for dogs with the world. Through this, I hope to inspire others to love dogs as much as I do and realize how amazing they are as well.
One day, my hope is to go even further by opening a free-range dog rescue in the mountains somewhere. Dogs that would have been unalived or left to die on the street would have a safe and loving place to live their best lives. That sounds amazing, and I can't wait until I can achieve it. Stay tuned. It's coming!
