FAQ #2: If I become a foster, do I have to cover my foster dog's expenses?

A: Nope! Usually, shelters or rescues provide all of the basic necessities like food, bedding, collars, leashes, and veterinary care. If you would like to buy extra items like treats or toys, you can do so. Even then, some shelters and rescues have treats and toys that you can pick up for your foster.

If you have additional questions about expense expectations, I encourage you to reach out to the shelter or rescue that you're interested in. They will welcome your questions and be eager for you to start their fostering program.
